Craig Venter's genome

Craig Venter, a pioneer in the human genome project, just had his whole genome sequenced and published here. Comparing it with a reference sequence (from NCBI) they have found over 4 million DNA variants, with more than 3 million SNPs and more than 800,000 indel events. Heterozygous indels ranged from 1 to 571 bps!
